Imagine waking up amid Sedona's famous sandstone buttes from your bed, surrounded by your plush comforter with the sound of Oak Creek bubbling through your window.

 

You begin your day with a quiet morning stroll to the retreat center for your restorative yoga and meditation class.  Upon finishing your grounding class, it’s time to start the day with your first, fresh juice.

 

With each passing day, and each carefully-crafted, organic juice, your body feels lighter, cleaner, more pure.  Throughout your detox (with guidance, you choose your style of cleanse - 1 or 3 day), your body begins to heal, detox and purify.

 

And with each Heart Curriculum class, your spirit starts to lighten and soften, again.  It’s been years since you’ve felt this good, physically, mentally and spiritually.  

After hiking in the sacred vortices, a trip to the local spa for your relaxing massage, and a special hot air balloon ride to finish, you feel totally renewed.  You now represent health from the inside out.

Regarded by Native Americans as sacred, Sedona continues to be recognized as a place of healing and spiritual renewal. Many come to experience the vortex​ energy centers of Sedona.

The Heart Curriculum Component

Throughout the course of our lives, we experience challenges both big and small.  Sometimes, we process the residual emotions fully.  But often, we move forward, doing what we can to stay afloat, never addressing our emotional limitations.

But the body does not forget.

Our bodies carry these emotional blockages, sometimes for decades, until we do the work to move through them.

PURIFY is about letting go of what's holding you back.  It's a retreat for releasing traumas of all sizes, conscious and unconscious, so you can live your lightest, most inspiring life.

Using the latest science-based somatic healing practices, along with our signature interpersonal growth curriculum, participants leave PURIFY feeling emotionally free, light, and clear in heart, mind, body and spirit.

The powerful work we do in this weekend offers you a chance for true healing and renewal.

The Juice Cleanse

Enjoy a meal out on the town of Sedona prior to our Welcome Ceremony. 

 

Then, starting Friday morning, post yoga, you’ll enjoy your first fresh green juice, followed by oils to ensure your body receives the proper fats during our cleanse.

 

Sweet, delicious oranges, juicy grapefruits, cleansing celery and pungent ginger, vital kale and hydrating cucumber, every elixir is hand-crafted and pressed by The Local Juicery (keeping low glycemic load in mind).

 

Throughout the day, you will receive a total of 3 juices and 1 smoothie, followed by proper MCT oils, and of course plenty of lemon and lime water throughout the day. 

 

Choose between a 1 or 3 day cleanse during your PURIFY Retreat.  Options will be explained and offered at the start of the retreat.

Allergic to this or that?  No problem, we can easily accommodate any food allergies or needs in our juice menu.

The Spiritual Purpose of a Cleanse

Throughout our lifetime, we eat constantly, rarely missing a meal.  Our digestion, like all other systems in the body, needs occasional breaks in order to operate at its highest capacity. 

 

There is not an animal or indigenous culture in the world who do not take periods of rest from food.  We believe food to be the key to health and vitality, when really it is our own energy level that determines health.  While food can certainly influence this, it is NOT the source of our energy.

 

Allowing our digestion a short rest by drinking fruit and vegetable juices enables our body’s energy to be spent cleansing and strengthening other corporal systems, including healing any ailments.

 

Every bit of food we put into our mouth has an energetic vibration to it.  And our culture is addicted to food, so much so that we regularly lose track of what we’re consuming.  We eat just because food is readily available, never thinking to take a break.

 

To fast is not to deprave, rather, it is to hold fast, to hold strong.  It is an exercise in self-discipline for the greater good of your entire body, mind and spirit.

 

Doing a juice cleanse allows you to take back spiritual control of your body as opposed to being run by unconscious patterns of eating and consumption.

Harvesting

Fasting is a discipline that the Western mind resists, but one the Western body desperately cries out for.

Sample Schedule

The daily schedule is designed with the intention to leave time open for your own particular interests. Whether that includes taking a solo hike, a nap in your room, or participating in a colonic, our hope is that you have plenty of space to take your retreat experience at your own pace and settle into your own rhythm.

  • 8:00am-9:15am — Morning rise yoga & meditation

  • 9:30am — NOURISHMENT 1*

  • 10:00am-12:00pm —  Heart Curriculum Workshop

  • 12:15pm — NOURISHMENT 2 

  • 1:00pm-3:30pm — Daily excursion (vortex hike, salt room, massage, optional colonic)

  • 4:00pm — NOURISHMENT 3

  • 4:30pm — Gentle sunset walk or site visit

  • 6:30pm — NOURISHMENT 4

  • 7:00pm-9:00pm — End of day circle, ceremony or media

*Participants can choose between two tracks: 1. Full juice cleanse 2. Partial juice cleanse.  All nourishment is followed by oils.

About Brie...

Brie has worn many hats that inform her role as your hostess: teacher, yoga teacher, facilitator, tour guide, writer and mom.  A health junkie for as long as she can remember, Brie has tried every kind of cleanse all with the intention to better understand her own wellness. 

 

Brie’s main objective is to create the causes and conditions for self-discovery.  She believes that if a woman has a positive shift in consciousness, an entire community benefits.

Brie’s strengths lie in curricular development, research and including vast resources, skillful facilitation, creating meaningful ritual, and connection with body intuition.  

 

A devout practitioner of intermittent fasting for twenty years, Brie believes these practice (and like practices) to be at the cornerstone of physical, mental and emotional health.  

 

She has designed a weekend that will elicit transformation for a woman in any stage of life as she embarks on the journey to understand her own body.    

Her greatest wish is that you return home renewed, inspired and able to share your glow with all those around you. 

One last message from Brie...

Dear Incredible Woman,

 

I know it is hard to leave.  And I understand the trepidation about doing a juice cleanse.  Can I make it an entire day?  Or three?!  Why would I put myself through it?  What's the point?  I've experienced similar feelings myself.  But the truth is, if we really want to be proactive with our health, we have to look at our habit patterns.  

Sometimes, we feel ourselves obsessing over when our next meal is.  We unconsciously snack when we are frustrated, anxious, angry, or depressed.  Food has become more than just nourishment, it's an emotional attachment.  It's what we use to placate our fears and nullify our unpleasant emotions.  

Cultures that overeat suffer from the same fatal diseases: heart disease, Diabetes, cancers and high blood pressure, to name a few.  Intermittent fasting is a way to proactively manage your health throughout a lifetime, and give your body the much needed break it deserves. 

I promise, it may surprise you, but you won't go hungry.  Not even a bit.  We'll have plenty of delicious juices to choose from, (and snacks if you need) and we'll be busy pampering ourselves with spa treatments, beautiful mountain hikes, inspiring curriculum and more.  You'll forget about your "need" to eat the same foods you thought you'd miss so desperately.
